Active Member Death - Lump Sum Death Benefit

The Fund provides active member Clerks a death benefit of $5,000.00. The beneficiary may be named with no restrictions. If there is no named beneficiary, the benefits are paid to the Estate of the member.

Active SCCRF members may update their beneficiary of death benefits at any point of Active Membership by submitting the Beneficiary Declaration Form .

Active Member Death - Survivor Benefits 

For Clerk members with 20 years of service or more, the surviving spouse shall receive a monthly sum during their lifetime equal to 50% of the amount that the Clerk would have received had such Clerk retired under subsection O.C.G.A. 47-14-70 (c). The surviving spouse must be at least 55 years of age and have been married to the Member for at least 6 years immediately preceding the death of the Clerk.
