Benefits

The SCC Retirement Fund provides two separate benefits to its members, the Active Member Death Benefit and the Retirement Benefit.

Active Member Death Benefit

The Fund provides active Clerks a death benefit of $5,000.00. The beneficiary may be named with no restrictions. If there is no named beneficiary, the benefit will be paid to the estate of the member. The member may change the designated beneficiary by submitting a Beneficiary Designation Form.

Retirement Benefit

A retired SCC Retirement Fund member will receive this benefit until their passing. If a survivor option is available, your survivor will receive this benefit for the remainder of their life as well. To learn more, please view the Retirement Benefits pages.
