In February 2021, the SCCRF Board of Commissioners appointed Homer Bryson, a seasoned veteran in Georgia law enforcement, to lead the Fund. Bryson brings a wealth of experience, having held prominent leadership positions with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, the Georgia Department of Corrections, and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. His career also includes service as a deputy with the Ware County Sheriff's Office.

In addition to his role with the SCCRF, Homer Bryson serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Peace Officers' Annuity & Benefit Fund, the Magistrates Retirement Fund, and the Judges of the Probate Courts Retirement Fund. He is also a trustee on the Employee Retirement System of Georgia Board and a member of the Georgia State Indemnification Commission.
