Refund of Dues
Members who leave office before becoming eligible for retirement benefits may request a refund of their contributions to the Superior Court Clerks' Retirement Fund of Georgia.
At the request of the member, a member may withdraw from the Fund and receive a full refund of the dues paid into the Fund, as provided in O.C.G.A. § 47-14-76.
By requesting a refund, the member forfeits all rights to retirement and survivor benefits provided by the Fund. Members who later return to covered employment may be eligible to restore their service credit by repaying the refunded amount and meeting the requirements established by law.
